The “Keep it Cool” project is an interactive playable narrative created in collaboration with Dreamrider Theatre. I was the only animator for this project. From discussing the storyboard with the 2D artists, creating the spreadsheets of animation schedule and animation breakdown lists, setting up the production pipelines, to working on the animation, I finished all the work above.
This is an interactive installation, which seems like a mixer of the video game and the interactive video. I finished it with another 3 animators in Centre for Digital Media in 2010. The theme of this work is about transition in which we are required to reveal characters’ development. I was the main animator for this project.
OMBI is a child-centric iPad app that allows children to create polychromatic particles and exploring different type of interactive particle dynamic. The app exposes children to fundamental physics concepts such as gravity and inertia, while stimulating cognitive activity and creative intuition with minimal instructions on how to navigate through the app. This previs video shows how children interact with this app and all its main features, such as the physics, colors, scaling, multi-touching and collision.
